Seminar « Machine Learning Engineering by Dr. Jérémy Saucourt (Xlim Research Institute)
Dr. Jéremy Saucourt (Xlim Research Institute, France) delivered a seminar on Wednesday 22 November 2023 about Machine Learning engineering at the University of Limoges. As a former student at the University of Limoges and now a Machine learning engineer at the Xlim Research Institute, he introduced machine Learning activities at Xlim and shared his student and professional experience with the students.
Biography. Jérémy Saucourt is a Research Engineer at XLIM, and is part of the Photonics team.
His research interests lie in leveraging Machine Learning and optimization methods to solve physical problems, mainly in the field of guided optics and non-linear optics. He got his PhD from Université de Limoges in 2019, conjointly with Cilas Ariane Group, working on optimization strategies for Coherent Beam Combining. He pursued by joining Institut Fresnel to develop a customized Photoacoustic Imaging method, before joining Lightcore Technologies to work on the development of multiple-modalities imaging endoscopes. Then, up to now, he rejoined XLIM to control linear and non-linear optical fields from fiber optics in the spatial, spectral, or spectro-temporal domains.
