Seminar « RF-MEMS design for reconfigurable communication systems » by Prof. Lluís Pradell Cara (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya)

Professor Lluís Pradell Cara (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) delivered a seminar on RF-MEMS design for reconfigurable communication systems at the University of the Basque Country in the third semester of the academic year 2024-2025 on January, 16, 2025.

Abstract. Professor Lluís Pradell delivered a three-hour invited seminar on RF-MEMS design for reconfigurable communication systems. The session provided students with a unique opportunity to learn directly from one of the leading experts in this field, offering valuable insights that connect advanced research with practical design methodologies.

Bio. Professor Lluís Pradell Cara is a (recently retired) Professor in the Signal Theory and Communications Department at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He received his Telecommunications Engineering degree in 1981 and his PhD in 1989, both from UPC. He joined the UPC faculty in 1985 and was appointed Full Professor in 2005. His research has focused on Microwave Systems including on‐wafer measurement and calibration techniques; millimeter‐wave system design up to about 75 GHz; multimode modeling of coplanar waveguide (CPW) structures and transitions; and the design and application of RF‐MEMS microdevices.
