EMIMEP Research and Industrial Week in Catania (Italy)_may 2025
EMIMEP recently hosted its intensive Research and Industrial Week in Catania (Italy), running from Monday 26 May to Friday 30 May 2025.
The week offered EMIMEP students high-level technical conferences, crucial economic intelligence training, and extensive guided tours of leading industrial and research facilities.

- Technical Focus: Space Microwave Design
The week featured a major conference on Microwave Design in Space Application, led by Fabrice Delahaye, an experienced MMIC Designer at Thales Alenia Space. Eng. Delahaye provided instruction on space application.

- Strategic Economic Intelligence
A second core conference focused on Economic Intelligence, delivered by Philippe Eudeline, CEO of MRTC and President of Normandie AeroEspace (NAE). Philippe Eudeline, who is deeply involved in protecting the know-how and business interests of companies, guided participants through the structure of Economic Intelligence and critical contemporary threats.
- Industry and Research Immersion
The schedule included essential guided tours connecting academic theory with industrial practice. These site visits included:

- An all-day concluding visit to the Etna Observatory to view the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology’s radars on “La Montagnola”
The week also facilitated networking with events such as a Catania’s Guided tour, a Sicilian Dinner (social event with the students), and a Networking dinner for staff and organisers.
