Rafael Dos Santos do Nascimento, former EMIMEP student (Infinite Orbits) delivered a conference entitled « My Path from EMIMEP to Project Management in a Space Startup » at the University of the Basque Country (Spain) during our 2025 Summer School on August 27th, 2025.

Rafael dos Santos is an Electrical Engineer from Brazil with a Master’s in Electronics, Microwave, and Photonics (EMIMEO-3). Now, he is a Project Manager for Satellite development at INFINITE ORBITS, a new space company founded in 2017. During the presentation he talks about his journey from EMIMEP to project management in a space startup, with his background, overview and experiences at Infinite Orbits. Additionally, it explains his work on the different projects showing his engineering skills applied to management and how important being an engineer in this field is. The presentation also shares information about Infinite Orbits’ pace growing, plans, types of in-orbit services and open positions.
