Forum at Xlim Research Institute: A Bridge Between Students and Research Teams
On Thursday, October 23, 2025, we organized a forum at the Xlim Research Institute to foster connections between students and research teams.
The event, held from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, aimed to provide second-year master’s students with the opportunity to meet research teams—especially those offering internships within the laboratory. It also allowed first-year students to engage with and discussions.
Program Overview
For First-Year Students (M1):
- 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Two PhD students delivered presentations from Xlim, Siwar Gharbi (EMIMEP alumni) focusing on « Smart Light Transport Through Hollow-Core Multimode Fibers Using Deep Learning » and Younes El Moustakine on « Artificial intelligence (AI) synthesis of nonlinear matching networks for the design of analog linearized CMOS/BiCMOS power amplifiers« .
These talks introduced M1 students to ongoing research projects and the scientific environment at Xlim.
For Second-Year Students (M2):
2:00 PM – 3:30 PM: M2 students meet research teams and explore potential internship opportunities.
For All Students (M1 & M2):
After the seminars, M1 students joined their M2 peers to meet research teams and explore . This interactive session encouraged dialogue and collaboration between students and researchers.
Closing the Event
The day concluded with a networking reception sponsored by the Physics Department from the University of Limoges, offering a relaxed setting for students and researchers to continue their discussions.
