EMIMEP Research and Industrial Week 2024
From May 27 to May 31, 2024, EMIMEP organised its « Research & Industrial Week » in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. This event featured various activities, including visits, seminars, and workshops, successfully engaging the 22 international students enrolled in the first year of our Master’s program. The event was arranged in close collaboration with our associated partner, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN). Special thanks to Conf. Dr. Eng. Lorant Andras Szolga for his invaluable contribution to coordinating the R&I Week.
During the week, students had the unique opportunity to explore industrial facilities at Bosch and interact with experts from specialized fields, enhancing their understanding of industry practices.
As part of the program, EMIMEP organized an interactive workshop on entrepreneurship called « Designing Your Entrepreneurial Journey » led by Professors Madalina-Alexandra Cotiu & Anca Costantinescu. This session aimed to equip students with practical skills beyond the standard academic curriculum, empowering them to consider starting their own businesses in the future. The workshops also focused on enhancing soft skills, such as oral communication and teamwork, through hands-on activities.
Two well known scholars were also provided seminars to the students.
Prof. Philippe Eudeline, President of Normandie AeroEspace and CEO of Microwaves Radar Training and Consulting (MRTC) led a two-day seminar about Economic Intelligence.
Dr Fabrice Delahaye, MMIC designer at Thales Alenia Space led a seminar on « Microwave Design in Space application »
The week offered students a chance to experience a different European country and region, fostering an appreciation for the European Union’s shared values and cultural diversity. We visited the Turda Salt Mine one of the world’s most spectacular natural underground formation, shaped by people.
Finally, EMIMEO strongly believes that such events play a crucial role in strengthening the sense of community among students and staff, creating opportunities to connect and socialize.
